A lifelong health and fitness enthusiast, Alyssa began practicing Pilates regularly after having her first child, and quickly became hooked as she saw the results it had on her mind and body. As a runner and triathlete, she experienced first hand the role a stronger core and better posture played in preventing injuries. Never one to keep a good thing a secret, she decided to leave her career as a corporate trainer and consultant to follow her passion and apply her skills and enthusiasm to a new arena. Running from the Core is the first in a series of classes developed in partnership with athletes and medical professionals that applies the principles of Pilates and other disciplines to sport specific movements. Through these classes, Alyssa’s goal is to make the benefits of increased core strength and flexibility more accessible to athletes at all levels so they can continue to enjoy their sports pain free.
